RACISM: A "GREAT" THREAT TO THE END-TIME MOVE OF GOD!!!

By Pastor Bimbo Animashaun

God is neither BLACK nor WHITE; He's a SPIRIT!!!

BLACK does not mean "DARK" and WHITE does not mean "LIGHT"; true light and illumination come only from the Spirit of God.

God is not a RACIST; He's the GOD OF ALL FLESH - Jer. 32:27.

To God there is no difference between the Jews and the Greeks; He's rich unto all that call upon Him - Rm.10:12.

Racism threatens the move of God because God Almighty said He would pour out His Spirit upon "ALL FLESH" - Joel 2:28.

Racism has never been part of God's plan for the Church, for in Christ Jesus, the Church has become ONE NATION under God - 1 Pet. 2:9.

Through the Spirit of God Almighty we all have been baptized into one Body, whether Jews or Gentiles, bond or free, and we have been made to drink into that one Spirit - 1 Cor. 12:13.

It is in the heart of God's eternal counsel for the human race to gather together all men - tribes, languages, peoples, nations and continents as ONE IN CHRIST through the ministry of the blood of Christ - Eph. 1:10, Rev. 5:9.

Therefore it is never in the mind of God for the Church of Christ to succumb or subscribe to the menace of racism.

Racism offends the Spirit of God. It offends the eternal plan of God. It offends the wisdom of God in its original intent of giving men different portions to administer for the edification of the saints.

The move of God in this end-time is not COLOUR-BASED; it is CONTENT-BASED, and that CONTENT is the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

In the New Testament, God reacted to a semblance of racism when He spoke strongly to Peter, "What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common" - Acts 10:15.

The context of that Scriptural passage lends credence to God's strong stand against racism.

One major functionality of the Pauline revelation was its dismantling of the race-conciousness.

Paul's teaching bordered much on GRACE-CONCIOUSNESS; as against RACE-CONCIOUSNESS.

And that is the heart of the unfolded mystery which had been hidden for ages and for generations, that the Gentiles might be fellow heirs of the same Body - Eph.3:3-6.

That is God's eternal counsel and it is indisputable.

The Church of Jesus must stand against racism. We must not allow it to undermine the move of the Spirit in this end-time.

We must learn to look beyond the "vessel" into the "treasure" that they carry on the inside - 2 Cor.4:7.

By this I mean we look beyond the COLOUR of people's skin into the CONTENT they're made of.

Africa must rise against it. Asia must rise against it. America must rise against it.

God is not a Respecter of persons anyway. The fastest growing Pentecostal churches in America today aside Lakewood Church of Joel Osteen are pastored by black Americans.

Talk of the likes of T. D. Jakes' The Potter's House; Creflo A Dollar's World Changers Church; Frederick K. C. Price's Crenshaw Christian Center and many others.

Again, God is not a Respecter of persons!!!

God Almighty can use a black or a white man or any other person from another race for anyone.

The Spirit of God is now the Leveler and common Denominator for us all.

Archbishop Benson Idahosa preached in about 150 nations of the earth. He laid hands on and imparted the white folks.

He once laid hands on Reinhard Bonnke of blessed memory in Zimbabwe. He also laid hands on Benny Hinn.

And Papa himself was trained in ministry by white men - the likes of Gordon Lindsay, Oral Roberts, T. L. Osborn and Pa. S.G. Elton.

Also, imagine the impact of Watchman Nee's books on Christian literature and contemporary Christianity in general, yet he was a Chinese preacher.

And then imagine Dr. David Yonggi Cho's impact on Church Growth globally, yet he's from South Korea.

Do you want to talk about the exploits of Baba E. A. Adeboye as they cut across the borders of nations? We cannot exhaust that!

Again, the message is very clear: GOD IS NOT A RACIST! He can choose to use anyone from any nation at anytime.

We as God's precious people have a duty not to allow race-conciousness gain inroads into the practice of the Christian Faith.

We must deal brutally with any modicum or vestige of it because the move of God in this end-time is a GLOBAL AWAKENING.

Racism threatens the move of God in this end-time if allowed into the camp of the Zion of the Lord, because God has said He would pour out His Spirit upon "ALL FLESH" - Joel 2:28.

We see a partial fulfilment of this prophecy come to pass on the day of Pentecost when ALL NATIONS GATHERED - Acts 2:5-8.

No separation. No segregation. No schism. And no spiritual "balkanization".

Every nation was represented in that atmosphere of the Spirit.

It's important to know therefore that God can use anyone for you from any nation.

The Church is now one Body under the authority of Jesus, the Head of the Church - Eph.4:4.

I remember sometime in the year 2007 when I was on the hospital bed following a femoral fracture I sustained from a road accident, God showed me a vision of a dying white woman gasping for life and struggling to breathe.

God said "She's my daughter in a foreign nation and I want you to intercede for her" and I did.

Beyond the intercessory assignment, God by His Spirit was showing me that there's no distance in the realm of the Spirit and that the Body of Christ is ONE universally.

Beloved, there's a gust of wind this hour - it's the wind of the Spirit, sweeping mightily across the horizon and landscape of Zion.

There's a mighty move of the Spirit this hour all over the world and God expects that we all have A GLOBAL PICTURE.

As the wave of racism is surging through the landscape of the United States in recent times, it is time for the Church of Jesus to arise and affirm in very strong terms and in uncompromising body language that THE CHURCH IS ONE IN CHRIST.

The logic is that any social menace with acute negative moral dimensions that the Church does not affirm Scriptural stance on, has a way of infiltrating the camp of the saints ( history is a credible witness to this).

We have a duty to therefore cooperate with the move of the Spirit in our time, and not allow any intermeddling of negative social elements to infiltrate it.

As I close, I bring you an excerpts of the landmark speech at the Lincoln Memorial for the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom and given by the late civil rights leader, Martin Luther King Jr entitled, "I HAVE A DREAM".

I stumbled on this some years ago while learning the art of public speaking.

I believe it captures the mood of the Spirit in this hour, in a spiritual sense.

Here's the excerpts:

"Let us not wallow in the valley of despair, I say to you today, my friends.

And so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I have a dream today!

I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of "interposition" and "nullification" -- one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.

I have a dream today!

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, and every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight; "and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together."

This is our hope, and this is the faith that I go back to the South with.

With this faith, we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith, we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith, we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.

And this will be the day -- this will be the day when all of God's children will be able to sing with new meaning:

My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land where my fathers died, land of the Pilgrim's pride, From every mountainside, let freedom ring!

And if America is to be a great nation, this must become true.

And so let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire.

Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York.

Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania.

Let freedom ring from the snow-capped Rockies of Colorado.

Let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of California.

But not only that:

Let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia.

Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee.

Let freedom ring from every hill and molehill of Mississippi.

From every mountainside, let freedom ring.

And when this happens, and when we allow freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual:

Free at last! Free at last!

Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!"

What an heroic and historic speech!

Friends, let's join hands with our brothers and sisters from every part of the world irrespective of race or colour to build God's Kingdom to the praise of the Glory of His Name.

Remember, it is not about RACE-CONCIOUSNESS; it's about GRACE-CONCIOUSNESS!!!

May the Lord help us all!!!
